Win2PDF installs as a virtual printer on your system and makes it possible to convert any printable file to a PDF document. You won’t need a separate tool to convert DOC files to PDF, another separate one to convert a text file and another one to convert Excel spreadsheets. This application can replace all these tools. As long as that file can be printed, Win2PDF can also convert it to PDF.
I like that, unlike other similar tools that create PDF documents using the virtual printing technique, Win2PDF won’t convert only to PDF, but it can also convert to PDF/A (PDF for archiving), XPS, TIFF, and SVG files. In my book, a big plus is the fact that when saving the document you can also choose to automatically open it in the default PDF reader or attach it to an e-mail (by checking the “Send file” option).
Last but not least, Win2PDF allows you to select among a large variety of paper sizes for the output file and also lets you choose the graphic quality of the output document and the compression type of the contained images.
Even though a more expensive “Pro” version is available, which offers more features and functions, this standard version of Win2PDF is good enough to satisfy any file to PDF conversion need.
